BC Restaurant Hall of Fame
VANCOUVER — The British Columbia Restaurant & Foodservices Association (BCRFA) will honour inductees to the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame on May 8.
Voted on by BCRFA members in November, the 2016 crop of winners was announced in early 2017.
Active Restaurateur Award:
Darren Flintoff, president, Stonewater Group/Mr. Mikes
Peter Zambri, owner/chef, Zambri’s
Back of House Award:
James Kennedy, training chef/chef de cuisine, White Spot
Front of House Award:
Margot Baloro, restaurant operations manager, Forage & Timber
Doug Ramsey, vice-president, Premium Brands
Dave Halstead, corporate direct sales, Squirrel Systems
Friend of Industry Award:
Fred Lee, media/social media personality, Fred About Town, CBC, Vancouver Courier
“These inductees have truly exhibited the highest levels of excellence in their respective categories,” said Hall of Fame chair Bill Waring. “They bring our province both honour and pride, and exemplify the best of our industry by demonstrating leadership, strong character and dedication.”
This year, the BCRFA has added new award categories. Nominees for each category were put forth by the industry and the public is invited to choose the winners.

Inductees will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame and the awards winners announced on May 8 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
